Whos down for a sick ass campout 3 hours north of SF? Saturday morning Aug 8th, me and 15 friends are driving up north, we will have our own camp area and will party up in the woods. Im spinning 1 - 2:30am Saturday night along with 20 other DJs in the woods, underground style. The crew that puts the show on are pros and do this every year. 2 Dance areas, one in the woods and one on the beach of the Eel River. Its a $10 Donation to join in on 3 days of fun. A core group of members from the Acid Totem Collective along with some mutual friends felt the need to assemble and produce an affordable camp out showcasing the talented acts and DJs from across the area. Acid Totem has always placed great emphasis on the location of their parties, and Northern Exposure is set to take place in the Coastal Range mountains of Northern California, about a 3 hour drive from San Francisco.
The prices of camp out and music festivals has shattered the glass ceiling over the past 5 years. It's now not uncommon to see festivals over $100. By taking advantage of incredible talent pool of DJs and artists in California, we're able to put on a party in an awesome outdoor setting, with top notch music throughout the weekend. So what exactly does all this mean, it means tickets are only $10. All the artists and DJs are offering their time pro bono, and all the money goes back into the pot to pay off any expenses associated with the party.
While the Collective sets the foundation for the party, it is you, the people, that create your own experiences for yourself and others. You are just as much a part of the festival as we are, and we encourage you to get involved and display your freakery and eccentrecism. Creativity without the attitude- that's what we're striving for!
