Two of the top promotions crews in SF are collaborating to bring to bring you James Zabiela, one of the most talked about underground electronic music producers/DJ in the world. His unique style of House, Break Beats and Electro makes him one of SF's all time favorite artists. Now James is on tour promoting his latest Renaissance Master Series compilation, , "LIFE" . Which puts James in an elite list of DJs like Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshi Tomiie, Dave Seaman, and more who have done a Renaissance Master Series compilation. James' career took off in the early 2000's when Sasha signed him to his agency and James on his world tour with him as the opening act. Then followed his mix compilation on Hooj Records and his "Alive" compilation on the UK power house label Renaissance. His Renaissance compilation and his performances were such a big hit across the globe that Renaissnace commissioned him to do another compilation. By then James was performing at the most in demand nightclubs and festivals across the globe. Then followed mix CD's for DJ Mag and his One+One compilation with Nic Fanciulli on Ministry of Sound.
James Zabiela is a DJ and producer from Southampton in the United Kingdom. In his early years his signature style was a fusion of Breakbeat and House music, more recently however, he is regarded as a Tech House DJ although his use of Breakbeat music is still key to the more flashy parts of his sets. He is known for his turntable skills, extensive use of loops and effects, and the use of the Pioneer CDJ2000s, EFX1000 as well as using Ableton Live with various controllers & sometimes even his iPad. Zabiela first gained fame in 2000 by winning Muzik Magazine's Bedroom Bedlam competition, Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ 2001, and has since been signed to Sasha's Excession agency. Zabiela also tested the new pioneer DJM800, the CDJ1000MK3 and the EFX 1000 at the 2006 Frankfurt Musikmesse. James also helped Pioneer Electronics develop their top of the line CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 media turntables.
