D’julz started his career in 1992. He quickly got a personal style that turned him into one of the leading French dj’s. His music is at the crossing of House and Deep Techno with strong acid and funk influences.
After one year playing in Paris, at early raves and legendary clubs including Rex, Queen and Palace, he released the first ever mix CD in France ‘Rave Master Mix’… Taking this chance to export his sound, D’Julz moved to New York soon after, and, seen as someone representing the newly emerged French music scene, he soon began DJing at the top clubs of the city – including the infamous NASA raves and at clubs including Tunnel, Limelight and Nell’s.
D’Julz returned to France one year later and became resident for two of the best Parisian promoters – Magic Garden and Scream, whilst also regularly guesting for the Respect parties and Batofar afterhours parties - and playing in front of over 200,000 people at France’s first ever Techno parade.
His reputation spread further and he began playing at the top clubs throughout Europe - Café D’Anvers, Fuse and Food in Belgium, The End and Plastic People in the UK, Chemistry and Mazzo in Holland, Space and Pacha in Ibiza and more.
In 1997, D’Julz started his own night ‘Bass culture’ at the infamous Rex Club - one that he still holds today – inviting DJs including Josh Wink, Steve bug, Luciano, Loco Dice and more to guest alongside. Bringing new styles to Paris his ethics still hold strong to push the Parisian sound forward.
In 1999 and 2001 he released compilations ‘D’Julz Box’ and ‘D’Julz Boxes’ in 26 countries and received huge support from the press with coverage including features in Muzik, Jockey Slut, Ministry, DJ and Mixmag. In 2002, D’julz he is voted the 7th best D.J. in the world by the readers of French magazine TRAX.
D’Julz now plays around the world – New York, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bogota and regularly at some of the world’s best clubs – Tenax in Florence, Cocoon in Frankfurt, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Back to Basics in Leeds and London’s Fabric.
As a producer D’Julz’s style mirrors that of his DJing. His productions, since he began producing in 1994, have gained respect and support from the likes of Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Tiefschwarz, Ivan Smagghe ,Steve Bug,Locodice, Luciano, Ricardo villalbos…
